Under “Course Managers”, you can define the display name that will be shown to students in the course.
To ensure that only verified names can be selected there, the desired person must meet two requirements:
They must already have been added to the course as a Course Manager
They must have a verified instructor account in OneTutor
This means that simply inviting the person to the course is not enough. They must also apply for instructor access and be verified. Only then will they appear in the dropdown for selecting the display name.
Recommended procedure
Invite the person to the course as a Course Manager after creating the course.
Once the invitation has been accepted, the person becomes part of the course.
The person must then apply for instructor access, either directly during their first login or later via the corresponding link.
After successful verification, the person will appear in the dropdown and can be selected as the display name.
