Quiz topics can be created, adjusted, and controlled in visibility at any time within a course. The overview below covers the key steps.
You develop questions in the Quiz Builder, a chat with the Course Assistant. You describe which questions you need, and the assistant creates suggestions based on your materials. You review the questions and release them.

Step-by-step:
Open the "Quizzes" section inside a course to see all quiz topics created so far.
Create a new quiz topic, or switch existing quiz topics between hidden and visible.
Add questions to a new quiz topic, edit the quiz topic, or delete it.
Open a quiz topic to view the performance of its quiz questions.
Edit individual questions, publish or unpublish them, and delete questions when needed.
Creating questions with the Quiz Builder
Open the quiz topic and click "+ Add questions" to use the Quiz Builder.
Describe in the chat which questions you want (e.g. number, question type, difficulty, focus). Your instructions take precedence over the default settings and can also apply to single questions (e.g. "four answer options for this question").
If needed, select specific materials from which the questions should be generated.
Review the suggestions, refine them in the chat, revise single questions with AI or by hand, and release them.
You can stop a running answer of the assistant at any time. A stopped generation keeps the questions that are already finished.
Importing existing questions
If you already have questions, you can import them instead of creating them again. To do so, paste existing multiple-choice and free-text questions into the chat or attach them (also as an image). Incomplete or duplicate questions are skipped with a reason, and every import can be undone. Imported questions can then be reviewed and edited like all other questions.
Revising a single question with AI
For a single question, the entire question and, for multiple choice, the answer options can be adjusted with one click using AI, for example to simplify it or to change the answer options. You can have the changes displayed. Your instructions then apply only to this question.
Images in questions
You can add an image to multiple-choice and free-text questions in the question editor. Learners see the image right with the question in the quiz. Tutor hints and explanations take the image into account, and for free text the AI also checks the answer against the image. You upload the images yourself, the AI does not create images.
