Navigate to: Site Administration → Plugins → Activities → External Tools → Manage Tools

Paste the OneTutor registration link into the URL field.

1. Log in to Moodle as an administrator.
2. Navigate to: Site Administration → Plugins → Activities → External Tools → Manage Tools
3. Select "Enter URL".
4. Paste the OneTutor registration link into the URL field.
5. Click "Add LTI Advantage".

Moodle and OneTutor will now automatically exchange all required settings. This takes approximately 5–10 seconds.

The tool will appear in the list with the status "Pending".

2. Click the "Activate" button.

Step 3 – Set visibility for instructors

There are two options. We recommend Option B, as it requires less effort from instructors.

Click the edit pencil next to OneTutor in the tool list.

Enable the setting "Show as a preconfigured tool when adding an external tool".

→ Instructors must manually activate OneTutor in each course: Open course → More → LTI External Tools → Activate OneTutor

Enable the setting "Show in activity chooser and as a preconfigured tool".

1. Click the edit pencil next to OneTutor in the tool list.
2. Enable the setting "Show in activity chooser and as a preconfigured tool".
3. Save.

→ OneTutor is now automatically visible in all courses. Instructors don't need to do anything further.

Optional: Under "Restrict to course category" you can limit OneTutor to specific course categories → useful for a pilot with selected courses.
