Prerequisite: You have already created a course in OneTutor, uploaded content, and logged in to OneTutor at least once. Without an existing course with content, the linking process will show "No courses found".
Step 1 – Enable editing mode
Open your Moodle course.
Click "Turn editing on" in the top right corner.
Step 2 – Add OneTutor as an activity
In the desired section, click "Add an activity or resource".
Select "OneTutor" from the list and confirm.
If OneTutor doesn't appear in the list: Go to More → LTI External Tools → Activate OneTutor, then repeat Step 2.
Step 3 – Link your OneTutor course
A setup screen will open. You only need to fill in a few fields:
Click "Select content".
A window opens showing all your OneTutor courses (Owner or Co-Manager).
Select the appropriate OneTutor course.
Choose the desired interaction type (e.g. Chat or Quiz).
Click "Embed". All remaining fields will be filled in automatically.
Step 4 – Review settings and save
⚠️ Important: The "Custom parameters" field is filled in automatically. Never edit or delete this field — doing so will break the connection and require a full re-setup.
Display format (optional):
"Embedded without blocks" (recommended): OneTutor appears directly inside the Moodle course.
"New window": OneTutor opens in a separate tab — may be blocked by popup blockers.
Optional: Add a short description for the activity.
Click "Save and display".

What happens for students?
Students don't need to set anything up. On their first click on the OneTutor activity in Moodle:
They are asked to link their Moodle account with OneTutor once (one click).
They are automatically enrolled in the corresponding OneTutor course.
From then on, they can use OneTutor directly from Moodle.
Privacy: OneTutor does not receive students' real names. The integration works pseudonymously.
